Getting Work – Knowledge https://knowledge.achieveee.com Sat, 31 Mar 2018 06:48:39 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.9.4 https://knowledge.achieveee.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/cropped-favicon-32x32.png Getting Work – Knowledge https://knowledge.achieveee.com 32 32 How we get enquiries https://knowledge.achieveee.com/knowledge_base/how-we-get-enquiries/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-we-get-enquiries Fri, 30 Mar 2018 14:32:26 +0000 http://knowledge.achieveee.com/?post_type=knowledge_base&p=2552 Referrals has been the main source of work.
The clients with whom we have worked together, tell their business friends about us.
When they think someone needs development or design done, they ‘remember’ us and connect us with them. This has been consistent till now and quality of enquiries is improving.

We have also built a small but genuine network of other service providers. This consists of other designers, marketing studios, content studios who occasionally give us project referrals  by introducing us to their clients.

What we want to do better?
– Try to improve our existing network
– Magically appear in front of potential clients (outside our network) and get them interested
– Build lively side projects that will get attention (We tried in past and failed to maintain them)

Replying to enquiries https://knowledge.achieveee.com/knowledge_base/replying-to-enquiries/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=replying-to-enquiries https://knowledge.achieveee.com/knowledge_base/replying-to-enquiries/#respond Fri, 30 Mar 2018 14:31:28 +0000 http://knowledge.achieveee.com/?post_type=knowledge_base&p=2554 Here is what happens when we get an enquiry
Verify the source of the request and check the authenticity (Person and company both)
After quickly getting the overview, we ask two questions
1. Are we capable of doing this technically? (Ask  the developers if there is any doubt)
2. Do we have time to do this? (Better ask the developers)
If both answers are Yes
3. We understand what is the project (We Google a lot about the client, business, market, competitors)
4. We understand ‘why’ the potential client wants the project to be done
We make sure that they are interested in our service and ‘how much’. This is where we get idea of budgets. In most cases clients need a tentative costing of the project and we try to give it to them as quickly as possible.
If they are okay with that, we move to make a detailed project proposal.

What is there in our Project Proposal https://knowledge.achieveee.com/knowledge_base/what-is-there-in-our-project-proposal/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=what-is-there-in-our-project-proposal https://knowledge.achieveee.com/knowledge_base/what-is-there-in-our-project-proposal/#respond Fri, 30 Mar 2018 14:30:29 +0000 http://knowledge.achieveee.com/?post_type=knowledge_base&p=2558
  • Objective of the project (What is it and who wants it done)
  • Focus areas (What are 3-4 most important things to be focused on the project)
  • Broad Scope (What will we do. Design, frontend development, serverside development)
  • Stakeholders (The multiple users who will be using the project. Eg- Admin, team members, customers)
  • Detail scope of the project (Functionalities and features usually mapped stakeholders)
  • List of third party integrations required
  • Technical specifications (Languages and frameworks to be used)
  • Estimates (Time and budget)
  • Contact info
  • References (One line description and link to related previous works)
  • The depth and content of the proposal to be adjusted
Based on whether the project is Big or Small
The potential client is well known friend or a new person
Is the proposal going to read by one person or team

    But for all proposals
We maintain simple language. No unnecessary literal or technical buzzwords.
Will put and example proposal here soon.
